| Summary, etc. | El río Reventazón ha sido objeto de múltiples intervenciones, a fin de obtener de sus aguas la energía que sostiene <br/>una importante parte de la matriz eléctrica del país. Como parte de equipos de trabajo en gestión ambiental en el <br/>Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), me correspondió participar en estudios de impacto ambiental en <br/>proyectos de desarrollo eléctrico en la cuenca del río Reventazón, con la oportunidad de integrar conocimientos y <br/>experiencias para identificar medidas que permitan evitar y mitigar los impactos, así como proponer opciones para <br/>la compensación de los impactos residuales. La definición de un caudal ambiental, con base en una metodología <br/>de tipo holístico, que resultó en un cambio en el diseño del proyecto, al igual que el desarrollo y ejecución de un <br/>modelo compensatorio, en el cual se definió el compromiso de conservar al río Parismina como un río sin barreras, <br/>constituyen dos iniciativas impulsadas por el ICE, que lo ubican como referente en la gestión ambiental del país.<br/>pacto ambiental; responsabilidad ambiental empresaria |
